Rosenwald, William

(b. 1903)
   American philant-ropist and financier, son of Julius Rosenwald. He was a director of Sears, Roebuck and company, but later concentrated on his own investments. He was chairman of the national United Jewish Appeal campaign and vice-chairman of the Joint Distribution Committee, and played an important role in the American Jewish Committee and United HIAS service.
